she was felling so bad we took her directly to the klinik and she will stay for a few days to have her wounds cleaned and to get the proper medication she needs :O
i hope to be able to pick her up on Monday morning! ?(
she was so scared she didn't even want to come out of her little box at all and as soon as we took off the top to take her out she peed all over herself from being so scared.
the doctor said she is doing much better today and i will visit her this afternoon.
send some positive thoughts her way. i think we have a long road ahead of us with this precious little creature.
i think we are also going to need a few things for her while her broken body tries to recover. if anyone has an extra kindergitter/babygitter we could borrow for a week or two to help keep her separate and feeling safe, let me know.

Schön, dass sie bei euch sein darf Lyn !!! Sie ist wirklich ein Bild des Jammers, ein Häufchen Elend und es wird sicher viel Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen brauchen, bis sie wieder Vertrauen bekommt.
Einerseits ihre körperlichen Schmerzen die sie durch einen anderen Hund erleiden musste, andererseits das seelische Leid das ihr vermutlich Menschen zugefügt haben....
i have now the third malteser on my "pflegeplatz". even when they have "traumatas", they will come to you soon. malteser need contact to humans so much, they want to be caressed and they ask you all the time, what is to do next. so just have a little bit patience, it will not take too long, until this small, poor lady will ask you for your soft hands :O

she is my first Maltese. i hope she starts to feel better soon. we go to the doctor again on wednesday. hopefully her wounds will start to heal, she has so many.

ich sitze da und hab tränen in den augen.......das arme malteserwauzi..... ;(
ganz bestimmt hat sie von menschen viel schlimmes und brutales erfahren müssen.....das braucht gaaaaaanz viel geduld und sehr langsame bewegungen, denn jede etwas schnellere bewegung macht ihr riesenangst.....nicht schimpfen bitte, wenn die kleine in der wohnung pipi und häufchen macht - auch wenn das noch längere zeit sein sollte.....wer weiss, ob sie gassi gehen überhaupt kennt.....
die ersten beiden wochen ist meine aimy am bauch gekrochen zu mir, wenn ich sie gerufen habe.....eine schnelle bewegung und sie war sofort total unterwürfig.....noch heute zieht sie die vorderpfoten oft hastig zurück, wenn ich sie in meine hand nehme.....ganz stubenrein ist sie bisher auch nicht geworden.....wenn schon, ist doch schnell weggewischt.....
und diese kleine malteserin, die noch dazu gebissen worden ist......ich bete für sie, dass sie bald vertrauen fassen kann und nehm sie in gedanken ganz vorsichtig in meine arme und streichle sie liebevoll.......
auch wenn sie sich noch nicht anfassen lässt, sag ihr immer wieder in ruhigem, zärtlichem tonfall, dass du sie lieb hast.....sie versteht nicht die worte, aber sie spürt was du meinst.....
(mein englisch reicht leider nicht aus, um das zu übersetzen...)
schimpfen wird hier nicht passieren! nie! wir sind hier gewohnt standing was weg zu wischen.

JA! Wir haben sie Miss Daisy May :taetschel: genannt und sie kann ihre Name schon.
Sie ist nicht mehr so ängstlich mit noch viel Arbeit vor ihr aber sie ist fast immer hinter meine Füße. :dance:
Sie hat sogar angefangen zum "spielen". Nur, aber, wann ich Heim komme und nur bis sie erinnert das sie angst haben soll (ungefähr 30 Sekunden) aber sie wedelt und wackelt und dann..."zoom"... zurück ins box....ein super Anfang.
sie frisst wie ein grosse und ist FAST stubenrein. :gassi:
sie braucht noch ein OP (muss mit Anna abklären) weil sie ein Leistenbruch hat aber nicht am Bauch aber am rechten Seite neben die rippen. Dr tham denkt dass kann von heftig geschüttelt sein.
ihre andere wunden sind am gut abheilen und wir haben ihre nähte rausgenommen heute. sie hat noch ganz tief im linke Ohr getrocknetes Blut aber langsam kommt dass auch weg.
sie hat ihr erste Ausflug letzten Sonntag. wir haben Gasthaus Schillinger in Grossmugl mit zwei Hunde freundInnen besucht. von Hunden hat sie kein angst! nur Menschen sind ganz schon scary. Sie ist aber einfach immer bei mir geblieben und noch ein bissl hat sich auch ganz gemütlich ins eck gelegt und ist ins Träumeland gegangen. :baby: :baby:
heute gibts noch ein Ausflug und wir werden photos machen.

gestern war ein toller tag! miss daisy und alma sind jetzt freundinnen! :D:D:D:D sie haben nach einem tag rumtollen auf der wiese sogar zuhause bei lyn gespielt UND miss daisy hat alma von ihren sachen "weggebellt" so toll!!!!! :verliebt: es war schön die kleine so zu sehen, sie ist ja wirklich so eine arme gewesen...super fortschritt unglaublich!! sie ist auch super flauschig, jaaaa sie hat sich streicheln lassen YIPPPPPPIIII
Das sind ja super tolle Nachrichten von den beiden Süssen.
Wir wünschen weiterhin soviel Erfolg, es rührt mich immer zu tiefst, wenn so ein Schüchti auftaut und man kann sich dabei über die kleinste Kleinigkeit freuen.

wir sind beeindruckt wie gut Miss Daisy ist mit ihr "kleiner" bub.
Hoke hat heute um 7 uhr 266 Gramm. 20 Gramm mehr als gestern. :O :O
ich hab mich schlau gemacht und gelernt dass er 2mal so gross wie ein neugeborene Malteser normalerweise auf der Welt kommt. und er trinkt und trinkt und trinkt.
Alma und ihre Mamis sind auch gestern zum besuch und die Miss Daisy hat uns alle gezeigt wie gut sie Hoke putzen kann. dann hat sie im garten ein ganz kleine pause von Hoke mit die Alma gemacht und dann zuruck zum stillen.
i will post more photos in the next days. it will be fun to guess what kind of mischling Hoke is!!!
Wenn Hoke doppelt so groß ist wie ein "normaler" Malteserwelpe, wird er wahrscheinlich ein Bernharteser oder ein Maltrador oder ein Schnauzeser... :D

My vet just informed me on the rearing of singleton pups. She suggested we get this pup with another wurf within the 3rd or 5th week. She said even 2 or 3 times a week for a few hours each time would be good.
Are there any families within animal hope that have welpen within 3 days the same age as ours and would be willing to help us in a few weeks?
I have a car and can drive us around.
We want Hoke to have the best chances possible of becoming a great dog so when he goes to his forever family it will really be forever. He must learn some things from other welpen otherwise he can grow up not knowing how to tolerate frustation and can become unbalanced and difficult.

so. we have a breeder friend....she says he looks like he is NOT a mix. and he is not a maltese. neither is his mom! she says they are Havanese.
i don't really care. they are both(mom and son) wonderful and a delight to have in our home.

I think your friend could be right, my Kischa a Havanese (not sure if she is a mix or not) was as a puppy also lighter creamy.

Ich war in America auf besuch aber bin jetzt wieder in Wien.
Hoke (und Miss Daisy May) ist alt genug vermittlet zu werden so heute we made some new photos for Regina.
die beiden sind mittlerweile sehr crazy. Miss Daisy May has become strong and fearless at home and rules the roost! Let it be known, Kira, the Shar Pei, is no longer in charge!!!
Klein aber fein? na ja....muss ned immer so lady like sein. 8)
Miss Daisy May steals all the toys, gets to eat from any futternapf :chef: and collects all the blankets so Kira won't make them dirty! she then takes Kira's toys and rolls or pushes them all very far under the tv kasten or sofa where Kira, with her big fat shar pei nose, can't reach!!! her toys she stacks behind her own pillow...
Kira is not allowed to bellen at the Postler...verboten sagt die Missy. nur sie! :O
She even steals Kira's bones right from Kiras face, only to bury them in the rindermulch and make them dirty!
and the sofa...well...she pushed Kira right off (kira is 21 kilo!) when kira was sleeping. of course, she knew that kira is not allowed on the sofa so she was just helping out :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
Hoke is growing like a weed! he is also barking like a tyrant! he has found his voice and is totally in love with it! he barks and barks and barks until he falls asleep mid-bark. then he dreams and barks some more. i have a friend that said he will stop this in a week or two...oh boy i'm gonna need a hearing aid!
but he is also SWEET!!!!! he loves to give kisses and play and play and play and he also love to kuschel on the sofa. he follows us or Kira EVERYWHERE...and he has just started to learn to walk on the line! he's a natural at it actually since he loves to go for walks just next to my feet...or under them...He LOVES Kira! Kira lets him jump all over her and they play tug-o-war with some of their toys. I think Kira is also trying to teach him to get onto the sofa...not sure, but they were doing something sneaky this morning when i got up and came to the wohnzimmer. they acted like nothing was going on, of course. :rolleyes:
tomorrow he gets his chip and next needles.
anyone have a tip on this crazy thing: Big Mama (Daisy) is still cleaning up after him...like...she eats his poop still. :kotz:
but while it's coming out! like a soft ice cream machine like the one they used to have at Oberlaa...i already tried Ananas...didn't work. just made flavoured poop. the doctor said it's ok but he will never learn to be sauber if she just follows him around and gets free food! plus it kinda makes me feel sick! so...any suggestions?

so sorry i haven't updated this.
it was crazy busy the last months.
first:
Hoke found his forever home. :whistle:
he is with a really wonderful family in the 20th district of Wien. he has 2 people brothers (ages 7 and 10) and a super people mama and people papa. he has a small garden and his very own schlafzimmer as well as a bad in his "brothers'" room.
he went to his family almost a month ago and we went to visit him 2 weeks ago to see how he was doing and to let his mama see how he is. he is s STINKER! spoiled spoiled spoiled rotten...not that we had anyting to to with that :laugh: :laugh:
he is almost as big as his mama and looks like he might actually have a bit of jack russell somewhere in his DNA, but he is still sweet and loves to give kisses and play and roll around all over.
Daisy was also excited to see him and they played for a couple of hours before we decided we were exhausted and needed to go home.
we will be visiting the family more often and are happy to have new people friends. :113:
Daisy is still with us. she is learning to be more self-confindent and trying really hard not to freak out and scream like crazy when we go to the park and see other dogs. :107: :107: she quitscht und quischt so loud when she sees other dogs and needs help to settle down, but once she calms down a bit she usually tries to play. she now has 2 neighbour doggy friends that go everyday with us to the park so she feels more mutig and doesn't need to quitsch so much.
she also goes with me to school on wednesday and is slowly letting the children touch her. they have to be real careful and not move too quickly and talk in soft voices and then they can touch her. they also can give her cookies, but she is not always able to take them yet because sometimes it's better just to hide in my schoss.
last Sunday, we were in the park with our UFO and Miss Daisy went down and up the hill so many times, i couldn't believe it. she is really such a good pup! she stays always just near my feet and feels safe with her Kira (my Shar Pei) nearby.
i have some videos that i will post and link here as soon as i can. :be happy:
